Ministry of Information Technology of Pakistan and Facebook along with the National Tech Fund has launched the first Facebook innovation lab in the NIC Located at the University of LUMS in Pakistan.

This Event was held on Wednesday, April 3, 2019. The event was attended by many leaders from all around the world who came together and debated on problems such as Tech and women.

This innovation will focus on providing infrastructure access to entrepreneurs, Developers, and community groups their aim is to enable them to train, network, and grow their expertise.

This facebook innovation will also help the developers of Pakistan to build application and products while using emerging tech like VR (Virtual  Reality).

Virtual Reality

The Facebook Innovation lab will give Start-ups the infrastructure and the access they need to refine and scale his/her business models so they will succeed in Pakistan and scale internationally.

The innovation is not only providing a showcase of the brand technology, But participants will be matched with mentors and also connect with Facebook’s global and exclusive experts, specialists in product innovation, industry leaders, data protection, and business growth.


The Participants of this innovation will be able to access FB start, Fbstart is a global programme designed to help start-ups to build and grow his/her businesses.

Permanently, the Participants of this innovation will be encouraged to connect and supports one another through developer circles, Developer circles is a community-driven programme for developer collaboration.
