FBR’s Tax Profiling System is a service offered by the Government of Pakistan to facilitate its citizens in understanding their responsibilities towards payment of taxes.

The Chairman Shabbar Zaidi, while addressing a press conference in Islamabad, introduced the system, using which citizens can check their tax profile after paying a fee of Rs500.

The Federal Board of Revenue on Friday formally launched the online Tax Profiling System, enabling 53 million people to check their bank details, properties, utility bills, and travel history data.

The chairman also added that the data has been compiled with the help of the National Database and Registration Authority.

He said that anyone on the basis of their computerized national identity card (CNIC) and cell phone number — can request access to their information.

Online tax profiling system for 53m people unveiled

The government on Friday morning unveiled two online portals containing information of about 53 million people pertaining to their bank accounts, properties, travel history, etc.

In the evening, Prime Minister Imran Khan made a televised appeal to people to declare their tax-evaded wealth through the government’s assets declaration scheme (tax amnesty) before the June 30 deadline.

It was a day of muscle flexing and whether or not it works will become obvious only when the scheme ends.

Registration Criteria

You can use these services If you:

  • Are Pakistani National and hold a valid CNIC/NICOP
  • Hold a PTA registered Mobile number (for citizen residing in Pakistan only)
  • Have an Email Address (for citizen residing outside Pakistan)
  • Have made payment of 500 PKR either through e-Sahulat or Debit Card
  • Are above or 18 years of age

Three Very Easy Steps Process

If You want To have access to your data available with the government, you will have to register on the Tax Profiling System by answering multiple questions, filling in your data and for security reasons.

The registration process also includes three steps:

  1. Personal information – CNIC, PTA-approved mobile number
  2. Email/mobile verification – Verification code through mobile/email
  3. Citizen verification – Two secret questions related to your family for verification

Once you are completed, you have to make the payment of Rs 500 you can do this by visiting any e-Sahulat center, or through credit card.

Tax Profile

The tax net profile enables the users to accurately declare their assets with the FBR and play their part in the economic uplift of the country.

The tax profile includes all the details from bank accounts to previous utility bills and taxes paid, your properties, the car or bike you drive, and the domestic and international trips.
