PCB Doubles Player Salaries & Removes 10 Players from Central Contract: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has always maintained a huge number of players who are offered central contracts. However, in a new development, the board has shift things.

The PCB has decided to decrease the number of players from 35 to 25, in order to increase the salaries for each player who will be issued central contracts.

C Rs. 0.2 million Rs. 0.5 million
D Rs. 0.1 million Rs. 0.3 million

According to the official report, from Category A, only Mohammad Hafeez is demoted. Babar Azam will be making space for Hafeez in Category B as he is promoted to the highest tier.

Well, this is for sure not a surprise which moves Hafeez but it is surely falling out of the Pakistan squad — bowling action, age and ability to perform at the highest level are all a factor. Whereas the future of Pakistani cricket lies at the feet of Babar Azam, who is surely one of the top ranked batsmen in cricket.

Shadab Khan and Fakhar Zaman they are also expected to be promoted to the higher categories.

The complete list of players will be announce in just a coming weeks. The list of players which was finalized by the four members of committee comprising of chief selector Inzamam-ul-Haz, head coach Mickey Arthur, Pakistan captain Sarfraz Ahmad and PCB Director Cricket Haroon Rasheed.

Well, it is yet not sure that whether PCB will increase the per-match fees for each individual player or not. Furthermore, the individual and the team bonuses are expected to be revised.
