Pakistan International Airlines has increased one more time the fare for the additional flights for Umrah pilgrims by Rs.2000.
It was done in Ramadan because of the increase in the number of Umrah pilgrims.
PIA also increased the fare by Rs. 3000 for these flights, the national airline had added five more flights to Saudi Arabia from Lahore, Karachi, and Islamabad.

The ticket fare for Umrah pilgrims had increased from Rs. 85,500 to Rs. 88,000 after the previous hike. Now, the price of the ticket stands at Rs.90, 500.
PIA administration said the increase in fares is a small and routine matter, these flights are being specially protected for Umrah pilgrims,
Most of them will have to return without passengers therefore raising the ticket price in very necessary to be done.

The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) on Friday said that Pakistan airspace will remain closed for all transit flights till Saturday (March 9).
According to the notification issued by CAA, the airspace has been closed for all overflying (transit) flights till March 9, 10:00EST.

The national flag carrier has found a new way to fleece passengers by increasing its ticket amendment or refund charges up to 550 percent.
The official notification indicates that Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has increased amendment charges by up to Rs 8,000 and refund charges by up to Rs 13,000.
